Hot off the heels of a Japanese jaunt to the Kiuchi Brewery, Garrett is heading down to Austin, Texas  for a couple of beer dinners. The first, on Wed, October 14th, will be at the 26-year old Dallas institution, Newport’s Seafood and Steakhouse. Garrett will lead diners through the 5 course pairing with grace and wit. And delicious beer. Tickets are a very reasonable $58 per person. We don’t need to tell you want to do with that information.

Reception begins at 6:30 & Dinner at 7:30.

Brooklyn bands are always appearing in Austin. Now it’s our Brewmaster’s turn. On October 15 at 7pm, Garrett Oliver will be leading a beer dinner at Olivia, the Mediterranean-with-a-Southern-spin-spot that Bon Appétit named one of America’s 10 best new restaurants of 2009.

As guests inevitably enjoy the menu, they will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Garrett as he makes his customary rounds of the room. He will speak at the beginning of the dinner and very briefly between courses to inform diners about the beers and the pairings.
