The Brewmaster Returns to São Paulo

It’s been some time since Brewmaster Garrett Oliver has ventured south to Brazil, home to one of the most celebratory beer cultures around the world. We’ve missed the warm welcome and hearty laughter that surrounds the table there, and we’re bringing the perfect beers for the occasion.

Garrett will be out and about in São Paulo from October 19th to October 23rd and is sharing a trove of his rare and barrel aged beers, including a few experimental ghost bottles from deep within our cellars. Come hang with the Brewmaster, hear the inspiration behind the brewing and taste some of the most interesting beers out there before they disappear forever.



Brewmaster’s DinnerICI Brasserie, Monday October 19th 8:00PM Join Garrett and Chef Benny Novak for a five course menu centered on french-inspired cuisine paired with the latest experimental ghost bottles from the brewmaster’s cellar. 

Cocktail Hour with Garrett Oliver Frank Bar, Tuesday October 20th 8:00PM Join Brewmaster Garrett Oliver and Spencer Amereno Jr., one of the best barenders in Brazil, for a night featuring the very best of both worlds. Spencer will be mixing up two original cocktails featuring Brooklyn beers while Garrett breaks out a few bottles from the cellar. 

Meet the Brewmaster, Emporio Alto Dos Pinheiros, Wednesday October 21st 5PM Come hang with the Brewmaster to talk beer, share stories and enjoy a few pints of Brooklyn. Garrett will be signing copies of The Brewmaster’s Table and pouring some of our favorite beers including one that may or may not exist…

Brooklyn Day, Galeria Virgílio, Friday October 23rd 12PM We’re fusing the best of Brooklyn culture with local Brazilian artists, restaurants and artisans throughout the day. Over 16 Brooklyn beers will be on hand to try alongside bands, DJs, and live painting.

  • Beer and Chocolate WorkshopGaleria Virgílio, Friday October 23rd 1:00 PM Join Garrett Oliver during Brooklyn Day for a workshop pairing some of our barrel-aged beers with sustainably produced chocolates. Amma Chocolates is a local producer founded by Diego Badaró, a fifth-generation cacau planter. Tickets to the workshop are R$ 90 and include four pairings.
  • Beer and Cheese WorkshopGaleria Virgílio, Friday October 23rd 6:00 PM  Delve into the art and science behind pairing beer with cheese with Garrett during Brooklyn Day. Cateto Atesanal has curated an amazing selection of cheeses to pair with Garrett Oliver’s hand-picked array of rare and wonderful beers.
