Our dear friends and neighbors at The Brooklyn Kitchen & The Meat Hook are spearheading a phenomenal Hurricane Sandy relief effort for the devastated Rockaways today. They’re acting as both a donation drop-off point & a volunteer aggregation center. If you live in the Northside area and are looking for ways to lend a hand, they’re a great place to start. 111 homes in Breezy Point are gone.
The people there need our help.
Harry & Rippers co-owner Chris Parachini are out there today with a grill. They’re cooking up some hot meals for people who haven’t eaten one in days. They also have a computer to help people sign up for FEMA relief.
Here at 100 Frost Street, we’re collecting donations of goods that people in the Rockaways need now and in the future.
Please stop by the store by 8pm this Friday and donate any of the following:
