Show your support for Japanese culture and the Gohan Society by attending their annual fundraiser, Aki Matsuri at Brooklyn Brewery on November 7th! This Autumn festival celebrates Japanese society through experience, observation and education. Come learn the art of making Soba, a buckwheat noodle, in a demonstration lead by Soba-ya while enjoying a taiko performance by Kaoru Watanabe Taiko Center surrounded by zen flower arrangements decorated by Ikebana International.
There will also be a raffle and silent auction with must have items, such as: Gramercy Tavern dinner for 2, Saxon & Parole dinner for 2 with wine pairing, Oceana dinner for 2 with wine pairing, dinner for 4 at The James Beard House, Morimoto knives and many more!
A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Japan Relief and all other proceeds will go towards our future educational programs for the public and professionals.
