Freedom Riders

On Tuesday, March 11, Brooklyn Historical Society’s showing of the Created Equal film series continues with the documentary, Freedom Riders, about the brave band of activists who challenged segregation in the South. There will be a post-screening talkback led by Brian J. Purnell, author of Fighting Jim Crow in the County of Kings, and Assistant Professor of Africana Studies and History at Bowdoin College. This event is free and Brooklyn Brewery beer will be available to all over the age of 21. RSVP here.
