Brooklyn Beer Dinner @ Recess (IN)

Come join us at Recess on Monday, July 29, for a night your mouth will not soon forget. There will be 6 beers and 5 courses, each course will be served with one Brooklyn beer that best matches with the dish. Here is the menu for the night, we’ll see you there.

The Country Boil @ The City Beer Hall (NY)

Come join our friends Rich Jarvis, Lindsey Styborski, Chris Rom and Martin Bellow at The City Beer Hall on Wednesday, June 12th, and enjoy some great food and beer. The “Country Boil” consists of shrimp, corn cob pieces, andouille sausage, and other delectable ingredients all cooked up over a big ole cauldron with a cajun flair. We will be serving up Summer Ale, Lager and East India Pale Ale. Be sure challenge some of our friends to some Brooklyn Corn Hole for beers and free prizes!

Second Annual Stockholm Taco Experiment (Sweden)

The planet’s premier amateur cook-off competition, The Food Experiments returns to Sweden for a flavor-packed soirée featuring homemade tacos from the nations’s “finest, most committed, passionate, intense, and possibly craziest home chefs”. Tickets to the Swedish Taco Experiment (at Debaser Slussen) include a complimentary Brooklyn beer, unlimited samples, and the chance to vote along with a panel of professional judges to crown the next cook-off king or queen of Sweden. Aside from cash and a bundle of cooking equipment, winners receive a lifetime supply of Culinary Glory.

From the Food Experiments: ”After last year’s successful Swedish Chili Experiment, the Food Experiments are extremely excited to return to Stockholm. Theo Peck and Nick Suarez, the team behind the Experiments, cannot wait to present the second annual Swedish TACO Experiment… The tacos will range from the savory to the sweet. You’ll see it all: Pork Tacos, Fish Tacos, Swedish Tacos, Ice Cream Tacos, Fermented Tacos, Reindeer Tacos, etc… You may never look at tacos the same way.”

Food Experiments 2012 Championship @ The Brooklyn Brewery

Presenting original small bites by amateur competitors from 14 cities, including Stockholm, the Food Experiments 2012 National Tour culminates with the ultimate home chef showdown, The Brooklyn Championship at The Brooklyn Brewery on Sunday, December 16. From the Food Experiments:

After Nick and Theo launched their first international cookoff tour this year with Brooklyn Brewery as the Presenting Sponsor, they are coming full circle bringing the Food Experiments back to Brooklyn, along with the winners from each stop, for the championship round. The Food Experiments hit such foodie heavens as Austin, New Orleans, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Boston. Each city’s audience winner has been flown to NYC courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery to compete against Brooklyn’s ultimate home chef all-stars hand picked by Nick and Theo. The only rule of the day is to create “The Perfect Bite.” After the dust has settled, only one champion will emerge victorious and secure for themselves “Culinary Glory.”

New Jersey is among the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy. To help aid relief efforts in the Garden State, we’re:

+ moving the Jersey Booze Experiment back a few weeks (to Dec 2)
+ re-dubbing it the Jersey Relief Experiment
+ changing the theme from food prepared with booze to simply the “best bite”
+ giving all ticket proceeds to the Rebuild Hoboken Relief Fund
+ launching a raffle of incredible foodie prizes
