Don’t forget the most important detail to the best Super Bowl party ever – beer. Brooklyn’s Gina Glenn to the rescue! She’ll be hanging out at the Whole Foods in Jericho, NY doing guided tastings of all your Brooklyn options for the big game. From Brooklyn Sorachi Ace to Blast! to Greenmarket Wheat, we’ve got you covered. All Brooklyn 4packs, 6packs, and 12packs will be $1 off.
Hey North Brooklyn, if you’re looking for a Super Bowl home look no further. Camp out at No. 7 North for the big game. Pre-game begins at 5:30 with food specials like altered beast fries and General Tso’s Chicken Strips and $15 Brooklyn beer buckets.
Make good on your New Year’s resolution to jumpstart your dream of running a business in the food and drink world. Edible is hosting a panel of experts who have done just that and will be sharing their stories about getting started with you. They’ll also be answering your questions and sharing tips that helped them succeed. Tickets are FREE for print subscribers of Edible Manhattan and Brooklyn; non-subscribers can get their $5 entry tickets here. As always, events at the Brooklyn Brewery are 21+.
If there’s one thing we know that people like as much as our beer, it’s getting to keep the glass it comes in. Lucky for you, head to Eno’s Pizza Tavern & order a Pilsner, Quadraceratops, or Sorachi Ace, and you can head home with some sweet branded glassware.
Join Presentation Party Night NYC and VERBAL FIGHT CLUB NYC for a special one-off event, February 5th at The Brooklyn Brewery. We’re pairing our peer-lecture format with a debate-style smack down to shake you out of those winter doldrums.
This month’s great debate is a culinary dilemma as we navigate the choice to eat meat, or not. How ethical is a fish fillet? How good is the best steak? Does anyone actually stay vegetarian? Join the food fight as we discuss the instincts, ethics and history of the human diet. Our guest speakers’ presentations will lay the foundation for a night of group debate, drunken discourse, and of course, plenty of food for thought.
Door open at 7:30pm
Lectures and Debates starting promptly at 8:00pm
$5 Advance Tickets available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1181968
$10 @ the Door
The Brewery will be selling delicious beers on tap for $5 tokens (one token gets you one beer!) or $20 for 5 tokens. While we thoroughly believe in giving you guys the most we can for free, the Brewery has been gracious hosts for what’s sure to be an excellent event. Don’t miss out!
Some more about the organizers:
Presentation Party Night is a monthly lecture series based in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and founded on the idea that everyone has something to teach. The event combines a party atmosphere with informational programming to make a raucous celebration of peer education, food, and beer.

Verbal Fight Club is a by-monthly event held in NYC where people are challenged to own their own convictions in a fun and often hilarious series of battles. Yes it’s like Fight Club as depicted in a certain movie, but you only get to verbally smack people down!

Prospect Heights gem, Woodwork, is celebrating their 5th anniversary. Woodwork is a go-to for everything from a FIFA fix to grabbing a pre and post Barclays drink. Come out on Saturday, February 7th, and cheers them with $7 Sorachi Ace pints and select limited edition beers from our Brewmaster’s Reserve series.
Our Gank Your Glass events are simple – buy the beer, keep the glass – but we happen to think simple is best when we’ve got beers like Sorachi Ace, Brooklyn Lager, and Dry Irish Stout on tap at Ashwood Bar & Kitchen.
If you’re in the Allendale, NJ area on Thursday, February 19th, make sure you stop by Allendale Bar & Grill. We’re storming their taps with seasonal and perennial favorites like Brooklyn Blast!, Dry Irish Stout, and Sorachi Ace. Five lines to glory plus you get to keep your glass when you buy a Brooklyn pint. We’ll see you there.
The tradition lives on! We invite you to spend one night each month at the Brooklyn Brewery guffawing at Tom Shillue and his cohort of expert storytellers. Tom, if you don’t already know, is a master tale spinner and each month he and our partners, Brooklyn Based put together a program of great, true stories from various raconteurs and call it “Tom Shillue’s Funny Story.” We’ve had such a good time over the past few years hosting Tom and friends that we are bringing it back again, and if you buy your tickets in advance, it’s $10 and that includes a beer token (or you can buy tickets at the door – $12 [cash only] and that also includes a beer token!). A bargain! Join us on Thursday, February 19th for laughs and good times. The doors open at 8pm and the stories start at 8:30pm.
Stay tuned for the lineup of storytellers.
