Brooklyn Defender will be on tap alongside fellow Brooklyn favorites, and Patrick will be giving away limited edition pint glasses while supplies last. We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to introduce Nya Carnegiebryggeriet to New York City, and then the celebration of all tasty Scandinavian things, NORTH festival, came along. For the first time since the opening of our Swedish sister brewery, our two chefs, Billy White (Stockholm) and Andrew Gerson (Brooklyn) will be sharing the kitchen.
Together they will recreate the menu at the brewery’s own Nya Carnegie restaurant. Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, who has developed the Nya Carnegie recipes with our Swedish brewers, will lead this beer dinner, illuminating on the exciting. This is the only dinner that will feature the profoundly good food coming out of Chef White’s kitchen.

We’ve teamed up with Pintley to throw an epic tap attack at The Montrose on Thursday, September 18th. Join us for a night of delicious beers, good food, and great company. Be one of the first to drink the 2014 Brooklyn Defender, a Red IPA. This beer was made for Comic Con NYC and is filled with Mosaic hops that give the beer a juicy goodness taste. If that’s not rare enough, you can also be one for the first and few to try Weizenhammer, a Weizenbock with a hazy, deep golden hue, bold juicy flavors and a delicious zing of hops. Featured alongside these two awesome beers are some of my favorites, Brooklyn Lager, Post Road Pumpkin Ale & Brooklyn Oktoberfest. Make sure to RSVP, The Montrose will be packed.
The Office Beer Bar has answered the wild beer call with simultaneous Tap Attacks at their Ridgewood and Cranford locations. On September 18th, we’re celebrating the release of our newest Brewmaster’s Reserve, Weizenhammer with beer glorious beer. ’s becoming a tradition here at the brewery to spend one night each month guffawing at Tom Shillue and his cohort of expert storytellers. Tom, if you don’t already know, is a master tale spinner and each month he and our partners, Brooklyn Based put together a program of great, true stories from various raconteurs and call it “Tom Shillue’s Funny Story.” The show has been a hit so far, and for $10 (including a beer), it’s a real bargain too. Join us on Thursday, September 18th at 8pm for laughs and good times.
