Good Beer Week is upon us again and a buzz is building in the brewery halls to bring the noise for the biggest and baddest beer fest the world over. This year, Brooklyn’s own Beer Education and Community Ambassador Gabe Barry and Export Coordinator Joe Soriero will be heading down under to join forces with local hero, beer extraordinaire and Brooklyn Ambassador Miro Bellini. Head to Freddie Wimpoles from Saturday, May 13th to Sunday, May 21st for an old fashioned craft beer duel on the dusty backstreets of Melbourne. Brooklyn Brewery and Stone Brewing are going head-to-head all week with the rarest, finest beers in their arsenals.
Brooklyn is headed back to Australia for Good Beer Week and per tradition, is running toward the sound of the griddle in our second annual tap attack at the Beer and Burger Bar. Join us for a sizzling patty and a fresh pint or two all week from Saturday, May 13th to Sunday, May 21st. We’ll be pouring Brooklyn Lager, East IPA, American Ale and Summer Ale to pair with proper burgers and dogs.
Get down with Grandad with the best, biggest and heartiest dinner down under at Beer Deluxe on Saturday, May 13th at 7PM for the return of Grandad’s Supper. This time around, we’ve got enough whisky and beer to throw ol’ grandad right off his rocker, with boilermaker pairings from Boatrocker Brewing, Mornington Peninsula, Pirate Life, Modus Operandi and Epic Brewing Company.
Come find us Where the Wild Beers are at Beer Deluxe on Saturday, May 13th at Beer Deluxe at 5PM. We’re teaming up with Boatrocker Brewing Co for a deep dive into barrel-aged sours. Boatrocker founder Matt Houghton and Brooklyn Brand Ambassador Miro Bellini will share a few finely aged bottles out of the cellar and discuss the similarities and differences of different barrel programs across the globe.
Hit up the Loop Roof on Sunday, May 14th at 1:00PM as Brooklyn Brewery and Australia’s own Hop Nation go head-to-head in four rounds of knockout beers. We’re getting together with the Melbourne-based hopheads for a friendly blind tasting featuring some of our favorite bottles, all judged in good spirit by the crowd.
Head to Terminus Hotel on Monday, May 15th at 7PM as the rowdy legion of Victoria’s brewers gear up to take on some of the headiest craft heavyweights from the world over. We’re joining up with Wild Beer Company (UK), Liberty Brewing Company (NZ) and Oskar Blues to go head-to-head with Victoria’s local heroes in round after round of glorious tastings of the weird and the wonderful.
Join us at Le Bon Ton on Tuesday, May 16th at 7:00PM as we summon the Ghosts of Brooklyn in an evening seance of culinary excellence. Brooklyn’s Beer Education & Community Ambassador Gabe Barry will be bringing out the rarest one-off bottles from the brewery cellar for a four-course dinner painstakingly matched to each beer.

Head to Buck Mulligan’s Whiskey Bar on Wednesday, May 17th at 7PM for one of the world’s finest combinations: Beer and Whisky. Brooklyn Ambassador in Australia Miro Bellini, Brooklyn Education and Community Ambassador Gabe Barry and Teeling Whiskey Asia-Pacific Ambassador Martin Lynch, will be joining forces for a sipping journey exploring how these two delightful tipples are linked.
Head to the legendary Whisky and Alement on Saturday, May 20th at 3:30PM for the Great Brooklyn Cask Shake-Up. We’ll be kicking off the afternoon with a guided tasting of a few well-guarded Ghost Bottles and barrel-aged delights never sold to the public. We’ll have rare beers, fine whiskies, a few bites and great cheer.
Get down at Section 8 on Saturday, May 20th from 2PM on for the Brooklyn Block Party during Good Beer Week Melbourne. We’re teaming up with the wild minds at Section 8 and Ferdydurke to bring a huge array of international and local musicians to the streets of Australia to celebrate art and culture inspired by our home borough.
New York’s own GE-OLOGY, an acclaimed producer, DJ and visual artist who has collaborated with the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, a young Tupac Shakur and more, will be leading the lineup along with Brooklyn-born disciple of turntabalism Total Eclipse of the X-Ecutioners collective. Barbers and Brooklyn Beer will abound for $5 cuts and cold cans while rock ‘n’ roll DJs, rockabilly legends, local heroes and New York hip hop flood the scene.
Join us for a good old-fashioned house party at Leonard’s House of Love on Sunday, May 21st from noon til late. The crew at Leonard’s will be slinging red cups of Lager along with a rotating tap of some of the hardest to find kegs over the course of Good Beer Week.
