Sorachi Ace: Un-Prohibited at Bar 21

Tuesday, January 17th – 81 years to the day since the start of Prohibition – the new Bar 21 will launch its “On Tap” series with the christening of a draft beer system featuring selections from Brooklyn Brewery. In addition to Winter Ale, Brown Ale and Lager, we’ll be welcoming our beloved Sorachi Ace back to draft. Previously exclusively available in 750ml bottles for all but the first few months of its creation in 2009, the original recipe of this acclaimed beer will flow through the Bar 21 taps un-prohibited.

Each guest will have the opportunity to sample three different pints perfectly paired with Chef Greeley’s bar bites (see below). Brooklyn Brand Manager Patrick Donovan will be on hand to discuss the featured brews. $45/person includes three pints, assorted bar bites, tax and gratuity.

Paired with Brown Ale:
+ Mini Pretzels, Vermont cheddar dipping sauce
+ Homemade Rabbit Sausage with marjoram and spicy mustard

Paired with Winter Ale:
+ Steak Tartare on Toasted Rye with traditional garnishes
+ Shaved Benton’s Ham with Pickle and Bread Stick

Paired with Sorachi Ace:
+ Mini Lobster ‘Taco’, Avocado, queso fresco, and salsa Verde with lime
+ Fried ‘ Buffalo’ Shrimp, cucumber-goat cheese dipping sauce
