On Saturday, August 18 we’re headed to City Tap House in Philadelphia for their annual crab Crabfest. Crabfest is a bargain: for $35 ($30 if you buy by Aug. 6) you can eat as much crab as you can crack, butter and devour between 1 and 4pm. As if that wasn’t enough, we’re bringing $3 cans of East India Pale Ale and Lager to quench your thirst. Opportunities to stuff your self with crab don’t come along every day, so do yourself a favor, follow @taphousephilly on Twitter, buy your tickets today, and don’t miss Crabfest on August 18th.
Celebrate everyone’s favorite seasonal gourd at Pumpkin Smash at the City Taphouse on October 7. The event will feature live music, a pumpkin pie eating contest and 25 pumpkin beers on tap. If you purchase the $10 keepsake tasting glass, your first pumpkin beer is free-a handy way to fill your fancy new glass. Join Brooklyn’s Miles Moser at City Taphouse on February 12 as he kicks off the release of Hammarby Syndrome, our newest Brewmaster’s Reserve. Hammarby Syndrome is a robust ale that will transport you directly to the seaside of old Stockholm. It’s brewed with spelt, an ancient wheat-like grain that was once a mainstay of Scandinavian beers, and spruce fronds, another old Swedish beer ingredient. The Brewmaster’s Reserve is a line of limited release, draft only beers specially brewed and released 4 times a year. They’re here and then they’re gone, and once they’re gone you might not see them again. Miles will be celebrating this joyous occasion with a tap attack. Check out the beer list below and meet him there.
