Events At This Venue
For the audiophiles and art connoisseurs among you, March 29th’s music panel at Intuit can’t be beat.
This panel is held in conjunction with Public Collectors contribution to the Whitney Biennial, March 7 – May 25, 2014. Public Collectors contribution to the Whitney Biennial, explores the archive of Malachi Ritscher. This discussion and performance will pay tribute to Malachi Ritscher – the late Chicago-based documentarian, activist, artist, musician, photographer, and supporter of experimental and improvised music whose thousands of meticulous, high fidelity audio recordings at hundreds of live music events from the mid-1980s (perhaps earlier) until his death in 2006 fill the shelves at the Creative Audio Archive at Experimental Sound Studio.
Panelists: Tempestt Hazel, Sixty Inches From Center; Peter Margasak, Chicago Reader music critic, and musician Michael Zerang.
This discussion will be followed by a live performance by Chicago musicians Jim Baker, Jim Becker, Jim Dorling, and Michael Zerang.
We’ll be at the event, pouring:
