Missed Connections. We’ve all had one (especially if you’re a frequent rider of that packed rush-hour L Train), and the New York Transit Museum wants to hear about it. Submit your best love-in-transit story and head to NYTM on Valentine’s Day to enjoy some Brooklyn brews and meet your future spouse. And hey, if it doesn’t work out, you’ll at least get to meet fellow romantics and enjoy some great beer.
Go subterranean on Thursday, January 17 from 7-9 pm at the New York Transit Museum for their first-ever underground Trivia Night. For just $15 (or $10 if you are a Transit Museum or Transportation Alternatives member) you can join trivia masters Stuart Post and Chris Kelley for a night of transit-themed trivia. Each ticket comes with a drink, and all refreshments are provided by the Brooklyn Brewery. Teams of 2-6 are required, with prizes for the top teams and a chance for all to explore the museum during intermission. Tickets are available online here-don’t miss out!
What do the Velvet Underground’s Loaded and Simon and Garfunkel’s Wednesday Morning, 3AM have in common? Both covers prominently feature NYC’s subway. Celebrate our latest exhibit Album Tracks: Subway Record Covers with an evening of good times underground at the New York Transit Museum.
Get down and channel your inner musical superstar by fronting live band karaoke with The Golden Boyz, showing us your rock face with album cover photography in our vintage subway cars and grooving to vinyl classics while enjoying Brooklyn Brewery refreshments.
Tickets are $10 ahead, $15 at the door and $5 off for NYTM members!
