All Summer long we’ve benefitted from the delectable smells and flavors emanating from the Williamsburg waterfront, courtesy of Smorgasburg. This weekly collection of the city’s scrappiest non-brick-and-mortar food purveyors tantalizes our tongues with delicious, local food that’s one-of-a-kind. And now it’s moving indoors to Brooklyn Brewery every Sunday, throughout the Winter! Come inside, already. It tastes great.
From Brooklyn Flea:
Starting Sun., Dec. 4, SmorgasBrewery will feature a rotating cast of five Flea/Smorg food vendors inside the Brooklyn Brewery Tasting Room on North 11th St. in Williamsburg. The weekly feast will also include free brewery tours on the hour. SmorgasBrewery will be open Sundays from noon to 5:00pm, and is scheduled to last through March 2012. Mary’s Maple Brewery Brunch @ The Brooklyn Brewery
UPDATE // FEB 25 We can now say with confidence that there are few better ways to start a Saturday than maple porter and waffles reinforced by coffee and sides of bacon with toppings including fresh fruit, chocolate spread, whipped cream, powdered sugar and Mary’s own maple syrup on the assist. After our nap, we managed to post a few photos.
Mary’s Maple Porter has arrived, and we’re celebrating with a brunch on Saturday, February 25 featuring unlimited Belgian waffles (with Mary’s own maple syrup) courtesy of Wafels & Dinges, and coffee and juice from Brooklyn Roasting Co., not to mention our brand new Brewmaster’s Reserve flowing liberally through the tap lines.
Thanks to Brooklyn Based for their crucial media sponsorship.
Tickets are $35 and available online and here at The Brewery during our public hours.
N+1 Launch Party @ Brooklyn Brewery Tasting Room
The Ides of March arrive on March 15, but instead of saying “Et tu, Brute?” Brooklyn Brewery will be throwing a par-tay celebrating the release of n+1 Issue 13, “Machine Politics.” For just $10 at the door, you’ll get a copy of the new issue and free drinks (n+1 subscribers get in for free!). Come on down to the Brewery for good music, great beer, and readings from the new issue of n+1!
How to Knead, Top & Toss @ The Brooklyn Brewery | SOLD OUT
UPDATE APR 23// Check out the recap of the event with some photos by clicking here.
If you’re a fan of the immortal combination of pizza and beer, this just might be the event for you. The Brooklyn Brewery and Edible Manhattan are teaming up to teach you how to sling some slices right here within the Brewery confines. You’ll learn everything you “knead” to know about the art of pizza-making from the experts at Pizza A Casa Pizza School, Motorino and Murray’s Cheese. Tickets are just $5 (you can get them here).
Brooklyn Blackout @ The Brooklyn Brewery
Whether you’re a fan of goth-punk or you have a migraine-induced sensitivity to light, this April 14 event is for you. Right here within the Brewery confines, we’ll be paying homage to the old Hindy warehouse parties of yore, with unlimited taps of some of our darkest beers (Dry Irish Stout and current Brewmaster’s Reserve Mary’s Maple Porter) as well as a midnight tasting of the eternally-dark vintage Black Chocolate Stout. Oh, and if it isn’t clear yet, the theme of this particular get-together is darkness, so come dressed in dark attire and get ready to dance to the seriously dark dance tunes of DJ Seek10. Tickets are $20; you can get yours by clicking on the button below.
