MARKETING MANAGER

The Brooklyn Brewery seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to the handle the execution of a full range of marketing functions. The right candidate will have a successful history of personnel management, hands-on digital marketing, and partnership development. The job entails a significant amount of engagement with New York City cultural institutions and non-profts such as BAM, Brooklyn Museum, Transportation Alternatives and RISC. Company culture and brand values demand that this hire holds a strong appreciation of the latest trends in beer, food, music, comedy and the web. But not EDM. No one needs to know anything about EDM.

The marketing manager must love beer and have a compulsive attraction to the internet. A strong advantage will go to applicants who have professional craft beer experience and relationships. We're looking for someone who knows the history of The Brooklyn Brewery and understands its significance to the craft beer landscape both locally and internationally. It's not that an interest in EDM will disqualify someone, it's just that it's not a requirement. This position reports to the Marketing Director.

VIDEO PRODUCER

This post is responsible for producing and managing Brooklyn Brewery’s video and photography assets.  Capturing content through video and photography as well as managing these materials through post-production work and then distributing them through appropriate channels are top priorities. Basic CMS skills, writing, editing and post-production of video & photos are all necessary skills.

The Brooklyn Brewery seeks a pop culture obsessed and highly skilled video producer with 1-2 years of experience, who knows and loves beer. We want someone who likes beautiful things and seeks out comedy. The demands of the position also require an individual with a high level of flexibilty and agility.  This is an awesome job and mandates an awesome person to fill it.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Video production
  • Photography of products, events, etc
  • Content distribution

 This full-time position reports to the marketing director and is located in Brooklyn, NY. It earns competitive wages and full benefits. The multimedia manager will be required to shoot events during evenings, a few times a month. PACKAGING COORDINATOR

 

 The Brooklyn Brewery is looking to add a Packaging Coordinator to join our Operations Team. The Packaging Coordinator will focus on all phases of the packaging material cycle, including:

-          Inventory management:

  • Oversee inventories of all packaging materials in both Brooklyn and Utica
  • Work with operations department on understanding short and long-term forecasts
  • Place orders and ensure accurate and timely delivers for all materials including but not limited to labels, cartons, caps, keg collars, bottles, pallets , kegs, KeyKegs
  • Record deliveries and proof receipts
  • Remove damaged, old, or irrelevant items from inventory
  • Work with vendors to ensure we are receiving optimal pricing /  terms on regular basis

-          SKU management

  • Execute a part number system with all packaging SKUs
  • Keep clear records of all SKUs currently in production
  • Compile list of export label requirements, ensure we are using proper labels for correct markets, and reprinting when necessary
  • Work with compliance on registering all new SKUs
  • Lead process for reviewing all parts on annual basis and managing plan for updates

-          New SKUs

  • Work with Supply Chain Analyst on managing process for new SKUs
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, operations, and production departments to ensure each department is on track and meeting deadlines

 

Education, Skills, Competencies

  • 4 year college degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field, and 1 or more years of experience in a similar position
    • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Analytical and quantitative skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast paced environment
    • High proficiency in computer applications and software (Excel, PowerPoint, Analytical Software)
    • Very comfortable with multi-tasking
    • Organization and attention to detail

BROOKLYN BRAND COORDINATOR (Sweden)

This post is responsible for representing Brooklyn Brewery and her interests in South of Sweden (Göteborg & Malmö primarily). Primary duties will be to execute Brooklyn Brewery marketing and sales programs in the effort to raise the brand’s profile. After training at The Brewery in Brooklyn, NY, the Brand Coordinator will be called upon to forge relationships & create programming to help position Brooklyn Brewery as the premier American craft beer. 

Located in Göteborg, the Brand Coordinator, will work closely with Sweden Brand Ambassador and Brooklyn Brewery’s Swedish importer, Carlsberg Group’s House of Beer.  The right candidate will already be a member of the beer community & nightlife scene with existing relationships that can help position the Brooklyn brand. The job requires an outgoing personality that relishes customer interaction and has a high appreciation for beer and the Brooklyn brand. That brand appreciation extends beyond Brooklyn beers to the leading culture coming out of the borough of Brooklyn that is internationally recognized for its unique character and influence. An affinity for good food, music, art and pop culture is a must. 

Duties include:

     Execution of existing programs developed by Brooklyn Brewery and House of Beer Programs include but are not limited to:

  • Representing the brand at festivals
  • Conducting tastings at on and off-trade accounts
  • Beer dinners
  • Executing beer release parties
  • Press events

     Manage and provide content to Swedish social media such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in collaboration with Sweden Ambassador

     Develop a target list of influential accounts and do lead sales work in cooperation with Carlsberg sales staff

     Work closely with staff at New Carnegie Brewery for Brooklyn Brewery and NCB events & initiatives

 The Brand Coordinator will report to Sweden Brand Ambassador with dotted lines to House of Beer as well as Brooklyn Brewery contacts.

The Brand Coordinator position is full-time starting January 2015 and requires travel throughout Sweden w/a few trips to New York City throughout the year. EXPORT MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Brooklyn Brewery is looking for a dynamic and outgoing candidate to help coordinate our international calendar of events and promotions from our office in Brooklyn.  The primary goal of this role is to help execute the marketing and sales responsibilities of the Export Manager, internationally based Brand Ambassadors, and Importers. The Export Marketing Coordinator reports to the Export Manager.

A passion for beer & food, deep knowledge of pop culture, and high aptitude for social media are all needed to do this job well.  A good handle on the Brooklyn brand and appreciation for where Brooklyn Brewery sits in the increasingly interesting and crowded craft beer landscape are also positive attributes. The Brewery seeks a candidate who is well connected to Brooklyn’s various creative communities.

 Duties include but are not limited to:

    Assist importers with coordinating events in international markets
    Manage beer logistics/delivery for said events
    Develop marketing assets for events
    Marshall event materials to Brand Ambassadors  
    Retrieve post-event materials and post online when appropriate
    Post international events to website, facebook, etc
    Assist in hosting overseas guests in NYC

 The right candidate will:

     Be a college graduate

  •      Degree in international business/marketing, a foreign language or food studies are plusses

     Have excellent writing and verbal skills
     Be personal, outgoing, and hospitable
     Have 1-2 years of office experience
     Be intimately familiar with the Brooklyn cultural scene
     Be actively engaged with social media and familiar with emerging digital trends

MARKETING INTERN

Brooklyn Brewery is seeking an intern for The Marketing Unit. The Marketing Unit handles all of Brooklyn Brewery’s advertising, events, web and public relations activities. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to each of these areas. This is a very hands-on position that demands consistency and dedication.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in college or a very recent graduate, have knowledge and appreciation of craft beer & food and have a firm grasp on popular culture & social media. Good media writing skills are a must. Top candidates will be able to demonstrate a hard work ethic, a proven passion for Brooklyn and a desire to learn.

Details:
Compensation: $10/hour in addition to course credit
Hours: 15 hours weekly
Location: The Brewery is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Requirements: must be at least 21 years old and able to lift 20lbs

duties will be to execute Brooklyn Brewery marketing and sales programs in order to raise
the brand’s profile. After training at The Brewery in Brooklyn, NY, the Brand Ambassador will be
called upon to forge relationships & create programming to help position Brooklyn Brewery as
the premier American craft beer.

Located in São Paulo, the Brand Ambassador will work directly with Brooklyn Brewery’s Brazilian distributor, BeerManiacs. The right candidate will already be a member of the beer community & nightlife scene with existing relationships that can help position the Brooklyn brand. The job requires an outgoing personality that relishes customer interaction and has a high appreciation for beer and the Brooklyn brand. An affinity for good food, music, art and pop culture is a must.

Major areas of responsibility:
- Execution of existing programs developed by Brooklyn Brewery and BeerManiacs include but
are not limited to:
• Representing the brand at festivals
• Conducting tastings at on and off-trade accounts
• Executing beer release parties
• Beer dinners
• Press events
- Manage and provide content to Brooklyn Brewery’s Brazil social media such as Twitter and
Instagram.
- Provide information and content in collaboration with BeerManics Marketing Team for Brooklyn
Brewery Brazil Facebook page.
- Creation of new programming designed to raise the brand’s profile and drive sales.
- Presenting brand values and building relationships with influential accounts in cooperation with
BeerManiacs Sales Managing Team.
- Ensuring brand presentation within accounts maximizes exposure in line with brand guidelines
