SALES ANALYST

The Brooklyn Brewery is looking to add a Sales Analyst to its Operations team, based in its Williamsburg headquarters.

Key responsibilities include: Overseeing sales systems; developing and disseminating reports; analyzing business trends and sales performance; and working closely with the Executive and Sales teams to advance sales objectives.

  • Analyze data to measure sales performance against goals, identify opportunities and threats, and provide wholesale, retail and consumer-levely insights
  • Act as primary contact for analytical support including ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Educate and train Sales Team on reports, interpreting data, and other processes to support distributor management and selling activities
  • Maintain software tools, dashboards, reports, databases, and data integrations, as well as provide system-level technical support and training
  • Work with third party vendors and consultants as needed
  • Identify potential system and/or process improvements
  • Assist with setting and tracking Sales Team Goals and Incentives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ Years of Sales or Business Analyst experience
  • Expertise in translating data into insights and actionable recommendations
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, business systems analysis, project facilitation, and communication
  • MS SQL Server, Dynamics CRM, VIP, and IRI experience a plus

SALES COORDINATOR

Brooklyn Brewery is looking to add a Sales Coordinator to its Operations team based in its Williamsburg headquarters. 

Key responsibilities include: Assist the Sales Department in all aspects of managing a growing distribution network and customer base; Coordinate sales and chain activities.

  • Assist with the preparation for meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
  • Field Inquiries from Territory Managers and Sales Reps such as UPC Codes and Item Numbers.
  • Complete and submit accurate new item forms.
  • Update pricing and maintain price worksheets as needed.
  • Assist Chain Team (distributor execution of product promos, ads and mandates; track chain authorizations using Karma Call Points)
  • Submit Shipments and Depletions to Beer Institute at the beginning of each month.
  • VIP Maintenance, including new Item and User setup.
  • Assist with general VIP reporting and discrepancy inquiries.
  • Assist with monthly VIP International depletions entry.
  • Responding to availability requests for specialty and vintage items.
  • Track Shipment Progress (seasonal pre-order fulfillment; limited release allocations and shipments)
  • Host clients visiting the brewery during business hours.
  • Assist with the preparation  for on-site Sales Meetings
  • Other administrative tasks, as needed.

Requirements

  • Exceptionally organized and proficient at time management
  • 2+ years professional sales administrative experience or related
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical,  interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the challenges of a rapidly growing company

BREWMASTER FOR E.C. DAHLS BREWERY (TRONDHEIM, NORWAY)

E.C Dahls Brewery (ECD), a new joint venture between Ringnes (Carlsberg) and Brooklyn Brewery located in Trondheim, Norway, is seeking an experienced, passionate, fun, and committed Brewmaster to head the new brewing team at ECD. The project will operate as a groundbreaking collaboration between the Brooklyn Brewery, EC Dahls Bryggeri, and Ringnes AS.

The newly renovated brewery will include a fully automated 50HL BrauKon brewhouse, fermentation capacity for approximately 100,000HL per year, yeast propagation and storage, centrifuge and filtration, a Comac bottling line and KHL kegging line, and a state of the art laboratory.

The Brewmaster will head a team comprised of over a dozen full time positions encompassing all areas of brew house operations- brewing, cellaring, filtration, packaging, maintenance, and quality control. Team EC Dahls will be creating new craft beers for this brewery and will be engaged in work that is both technical and creative, focused on quality, and constantly innovative.

The brewery will be producing both bottled and kegged beer, some of which will be served on-premises at the bar, restaurant, and conference facilities that will be an integral part of the facility. The brewery will also host regular technical conferences to share and spread knowledge of craft brewing techniques and ideas with other brewers.

The Brewmaster candidate will need reasonable fluency in both Norwegian and English.  We are looking for someone who is prepared to work hard, make great beer and have a very good time doing it.

Responsibilites:

  • Drive the installation process of the new brewery, to be delivered in the beginning of 2016, together with the appointed General Manager
  • Oversee the brewing and packaging operations of the new 50 HL automated brewhouse
  • Manage brewery personnel across multiple shifts, plus guest brewers and apprentices
  • Lead the creative development process
  • Manage brewing logistics, including production scheduling, ingredient ordering, record-keeping and inventory management
  • Serve as the primary ECD brewing representative in front of the media and the public
  • Help create a safe, dynamic, fun, and collaborative work environment

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of professional brewing experience at a packaging (bottling and kegging) production brewery
  • A degree from a professional brewing education program
  • Experience with quality control, laboratory procedures and yeast management
  • Experience managing other brewery employees
  • Experience working with both manual and automated brewing systems is preferred; basic computer skills are required

A strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task while remaining focused on consistent quality and safety, and the ability to work both independently and with a team are all essential.  Mechanical aptitude is a major plus. We are looking for someone who communicates well and is able to lead a team doing great work and enjoying it. The right individual will be a beer geek who is prepared to bring obsessive commitment to brewing world-class beer.

E.C. DAHLS BREWERY AMBASSADOR (TRONDHEIM, NO)

Located in Trondheim at ECD, the Brewery Ambassador will work closely with the sales and marketing departments of Ringnes AS and Brooklyn Brewery. An affinity for good food, music, art, and culture is a must.

Excellent knowledge in writing and verbal presentation in both Norwegian and English is seen as an asset.

Responsibilities:

FREELANCE MOTION GRAPHICS/ANIMATOR

PACKAGING OPERATOR (NYC)

The Brooklyn Brewery is looking for a full-time packaging operator of our Comac keg machine, GAI counter pressure bottle line, and Keg-Technik Key Keg filler.  The packaging operator is a part of a highly dedicated and motivated team that packages our beer for sale and distribution. We are the last line of defense.

The role of a Packaging Operator includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Start-up, sterilization, operation, and clean-up of the brewery’s keg line and bottle line.
  • Safe use of an electric pallet jack ensuring both lines have the necessary inputs and outputs flowing. Movement of finished goods to the driveway staging area to be picked up by a forklift.
  • Performing preventative maintenance based on established schedules ensuring that daily, weekly, and annual maintenance is performed.
  • Recording all necessary data for quality assurance and regulatory requirements, and raising & discussing any issues with the Packaging Supervisor.
  • Performs other tasks and assignments as instructed by the Packaging Supervisor.

 Requirements:

  • You should have a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency, constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of “always improving”.
  • You must be able to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly and maneuver 175 lbs. kegs as needed.
  • Must be able to twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk on a continual basis.
  • Work on your feet for over eight hours at a time.
  • Work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.
  • Work in loud production environments.
  • Work with chemicals of varying composition.
  • Work in damp/wet areas.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Work independently as well as a team player.
  • Strong mechanical ability with problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary.
  • A desire to learn and grow with the company.
  • Ability to operate an electric pallet jack.

 At the Brooklyn Brewery we have a motto to “Defend Beer” and the packaging department truly takes this to heart. The greatest beer in the world can be made but it must be packaged properly. We are the last line of defense, and nothing sub-great will get by us.
