Brooklyn Black Ops has long stood shoulder to shoulder with the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, and a restful night of sleep on a Sunday as one of the most pervasive legends in folklore. Now, we can confirm the rumors are true: Brooklyn Black Ops is real, and it is delicious.
For this vintage of our mysterious friend, we teamed up with Four Roses Bourbon to select barrels for Black Ops’ long rest. Our Brewmaster Garrett Oliver and Four Roses COO and Director of Operations Ryan Ashley are old friends, and Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott was quick to join the fun. After plenty of tasting, the team selected Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon barrels for the task. These esteemed barrels lends the beer vanilla-forward oak notes, a hint of mellow Bourbon character, and a smooth, regal finish.
A beer of Black Ops’ reputation deserves a party to match, so we’re throwing a suitable bash on Monday, November 4 from 6-9 PM in our Tasting Room. Join us for thieved pints from the barrels themselves, impossibly rare tastings of single barrel iterations of Black Ops and Four Roses Bourbons, Black Ops ice cream, and more.
