NOT SO SPOOKY AFTER ALL: RECONSIDERING WEIRD WILDLIFE (NYC)

EVENTS
OCT 29 2019

With Halloween right around the corner, EcoHealth Alliance is back in Tasting Room to celebrate the spooky side of the animal kingdom on Tuesday, October 29th at 8 PM.

While you brace yourself with a beer we’ll learn interesting and suprising facts about creepy critters like snakes, bats and other things that go bump in the night. These often misunderstood animals deserve their time in the spotlight, so we’ll be hearing firsthand from the EcoHealth Alliance scientists who’ve dedicated their lives to studying them:

  • Evan Eskew, PhD, has studied reptile and amphibian ecology and will talk about all things slippery and scaly
  • Kevin Olival, PhD, EcoHealth Alliance’s resident bat enthusiast will talk about bat traits and behaviors and how they’re really not that different from ourselves (except for the wings)
  • Stephanie Martinez, MPH, will talk about the small things we can do to protect animals and prevent the spread of disease

Your $25 ticket gets you access to these scarily scintillating talks as well as unlimited Brooklyn beer. Tickets are on sale now, and we’ll save you a spot at the bar.
