This former ghost bottle was just too good to keep it a secret. K Is For Kriek starts as a dark abbey ale that is bourbon barrel-aged with whole cherries and then bottle conditioned with Brett and Champagne yeast. It is superb if we do say so ourselves, and we’re finally ready to share it with the world as a part of Brooklyn Quarterly Experiment series. Come out for your first taste at trusted wine and beer shop Amanti Vino in Montclair, NJ. From 5-8pm on February 13th Brooklyn’s Chris Vasquez will be leading guided tastings of K Is For Kriek alongside Sorachi Ace and Greenmarket Wheat. This beer is perfect for cellaring so take two home, one for now and one for later.

We did and that’s why we teamed up with Wegmans Allentown’s pub and their chef Geno Nosenzo to host a beer dinner for all time during Lehigh Valley Beer Week. This dinner features some of our newest and most innovative beers, from Brewmaster Garrett Oliver’s 20th anniversary beer Hand & Seal to our first ever Brooklyn Quarterly Experiment, Wild Streak, a beer that has been cellaring for just over a year now. Beer lovers will be joined at the table by Garrett, who’s ready to regale with the stories behind the beer as well as unique insights into pairing and tasting.
