The Food Experiments National Tour marches on to Pittsburgh, PA with the Pittsburgh Dumpling Experiment at Mr. Smalls. Attendees tweet photos of your favorite bite @BrooklynBrewery with the hash tag #PittFoodEx for a chance to win this homebrew kit. From the Food Experiments: “Cookoff pros Nick Suarez and Theo Peck are excited to present Pittsburgh’s first Food Experiment, an amateur cook off involving Pittsburgh’s finest home chefs. Dishes will range from savory to sweet and will feature a main ingredient. Sharpen your knifes, this is a call to all home chefs looking to be named Pittsburgh’s next cookoff king or queen. Winners will not only achieve culinary glory, but will be flown to Brooklyn, NY to compete in the National cookoff title, the super-bowl of cookoffs held at Brooklyn Brewery. Do you have what it takes to win?”

SATURDAY, MAY 19
But wait, there’s more! The day before the Dumpling Experiment, the Pittsburgh Supermarket Showdown goes off at Market District (100 Settlers Ridge Center Drive, Pittsburgh). Come out and watch as seven-time Brooklyn Cook-Off champ, Theo Peck, comes to town to take on one of your own local foodies for bragging rights in a mini cook-off of mini-epic proportions.
