Come out to George Keeley‘s on December 18th for a festive battle of the breweries. Two all-american breweries will go head to head armed with some of their best beers. Proudly representing Brooklyn Brewery will be Fire & Ice, Winter, Blast!, Naranjito, and a beer that does not exist. We will be up against Anchor Brewing’s Christmas Ale, Porter and three others that are yet to be determined.
But the battle doesn’t stop there… Join us for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest too! Come wearing your most hideous holiday apparel and be the judge of the best (or worst depending on how you see it) dressed of the evening.
Edible Hudson Valley and Brooklyn Brewery present The Quarterly Carousal at Decicco Family Market on December 19th. Come try Brooklyn’s latest beer, Fire & Ice, pick up the latest issue of Edible Hudson Valley and sample delicious locally made snacks.
Free with RSVP to email@example.com with “Quarterly Carousal 4″ in the subject line.
We invite you to a very covert operation at The Meddlesome Moth on December 19th where there will be some stealthy pouring of the beer that does not exist. Rumor has it, this tasting will feature the beer that does not exist from the years 2008, 2010 and 2013.
If this beer did exist, however, I bet it would be aged for four months in bourbon barrels, bottled flat, and re-fermented with Champagne yeast. Presumably such a beer would raise a rich, fluffy dark brown head and it would combine chocolate and coffee flavors with a rich underpinning of vanilla-like bourbon notes.
Come find out for yourself if this mysterious beer truly exists or not…
Join us at Cooper’s Union on December 19th for delectable beer and cheese pairings specially selected to compliment Brooklyn’s finest beers. Check back here for the official pairing list or just show up on the 19th and be deliciously surprised.
After 9 years of waiting, finally a sequel to Anchorman. What could be better than that? How about a pub crawl and private midnight screening with 141 others from the neighborhood?
We invite you to join us on a pub crawl to the movie theater along with Allagash and ShawneeCraft Brewing Company. The night will begin at P.O.P.E and then move on to The Industry before heading to a private midnight screening of Anchorman 2. For just $20 you get a beer at each bar offering several Brooklyn Brewery beers on tap, admission to the theater and a chance to win a raffle including beer from each brewery, t-shirts and gift certificates to each bar.
It’s becoming a tradition here at the brewery to spend one night each month guffawing at Tom Shillue and his cohort of expert storytellers. Tom, if you don’t already know, is a master tale spinner and each month he puts together a program of great, true stories from various raconteurs and calls it “Tom Shillue’s Funny Story.” The show has been a hit so far, and for $10 (including a beer), it’s a real bargain too. Join us on December 19th for laughs and good times.
Expect funny stories from Tom Shillue, Gavin McInnes, James Smith, Marla Schultz and Joy Behar during the last gathering of 2013!

As 2013 comes to a close, we will be celebrating the end of our Silver Anniversary in comfort. It’s been a busy year and quite frankly, we are exhausted! There is nothing we want more than to hang out with our friends, drink a few beers, listen to some tunes and watch clips of great party scenes. We’ll be throwing a party on Tuesday, December 31 to ring in the New Year with our friends from Nitehawk Cinemas providing the reel, DJ SeekTen spinning the ‘soundtrack’ and all of you wonderful people providing the dialogue! The beer will be flowing (it’s an open beer bar folks!) and Nitehawk will also be providing tasty snacks. In addition, there will be a chance to win a great raffle prize from both Brooklyn Brewery and Nitehawk. Even if you don’t win the raffle, you still get to take home a souvenir Brooklyn Brewery glass! The party will start at 9PM on New Year’s Eve and will end at 1:30AM with last call at 1AM. Tickets are $100 per person and are very limited…get yours quickly.
