Monday, March 24, Dia Art Foundation will once again host its Artists on Artists Lecture Series, which highlights the work of contemporary artists from the perspective of their colleagues and peers. This time around the series features Ian Wallace discussing Blinky Palermo. Ian Wallace was born in Shoreham, England, in 1943 and lives and works in Vancouver. His signature diptych canvases juxtapose photography and monochrome painting; he has also worked in sculpture, large-scale photographic tableaux, and collage. Recent solo exhibitions were presented at the Vancouver Art Gallery (2012); Power Plant, Toronto (2010); Witte De With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam (2008); and Kunsthalle Zurich (2008).
Tickets are $6, $3 for Dia members, students and seniors, and are available at the door.
