PAST EVENT

Stonewall Sessions x Moussa Mchangama at Space10 (DK)

EVENTS
JUN 30 2021

This summer, Back To Future Sounds will organize four events in Copenhagen organized by and supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Denmark, initiated by us and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI.) This series kicks off with “Decolonizing Our Community” on Wednesday, June 30 at 5 PM CET with moderator Moussa Mchangama.

Moussa Mchangama, co-owner of In Futurum and front person of Mino Denmark’s board, will be joined by Moeisha Aden and Mica Oh to reflect on the LGBTQ+ community’s relationship to post-colonial structures and the power dynamics that follow, among much more. Moussa believes that this is a long-overdue conversation for the community, and the panel is ready to dig in.

The evening will start with the talk, followed by music and conversation. There are limited tickets available here, and entry after the talk is open except for Covid-19 restrictions. Please bring a valid corona passport.

This talk and the rest of our series will be recorded and uploaded as a podcast on Heartbeats.com so anyone can listen and learn, any time and anywhere. Photographer Sarah Fresco will also document the night for future posts from Back To Future Sounds and Brooklyn Brewery. If you prefer not to be photographed or want to withdraw consent, please reach out to Back To Future Sounds via mail, Facebook, or Instagram.

RSVP on Facebook here, and learn more about the summer series here. We’re looking forward to seeing you this summer!
